“Wow, for £100 this is a great saw, normally I go Makita with everything but saw this and thought worth a go. Light, compact, sturdy and smooth sliding action. This saw did two solid days of studding out with 4x2's and 6x2's with ease, didn't even feel like i was cutting into anything. Obviously not sure about longevity but so far above expectations.”

“Overall this saw seems quite good, and certainly seems to cut a wide range of materials easily and cleanly. However, having used it to cut skirting recently, I can see that there is much room for improvement. Firstly, the fact that it is only single bevel is somewhat a pain, requiring lot's of moving long work pieces around to do the 45 degree cuts, very annoying when you have lot's of cuts to do. Secondly, because the motor housing is on the side of the cutting head, it hits the screw clamp when doing 90 degree cuts with the workpiece clamped on the side where the motor is. I feel this is very bad design indeed, either the motor should me mounted on the back of the cutting head, or the base should be wider allowing the clamp to be set wider, out the way of the motor to avoid fouling it. Overall it's competent tool, but it is spoiled I feel by these two design flaws.”
