“Bought to replace another make which started giving trouble. What a difference. The Evolution is far more robust; the engineering feels much better. Setting up was very easy: the blade angle needed a very small tweak to get it to 90 degrees whereas the 45 degree stop was spot on. The instructions are clear and straightforward. The first mitre cut in 50mm PSE softwood produced an exceptionally clean cut with no tear-out. The soft start is a sophistication I did not have on my previous model. I haven't deliberately tried sawing through buried nails but I have no reason to doubt what the ads say. The only slight niggle concerns the laser. This is significantly off the blade cut line and having seen someone on YouTube getting into all kinds of trouble trying to adjust it, I decided to leave it be, at least for now, and check the position of the cut line by direct reference to the saw blade.”

“Tool is great and was instrumental in completing a deck project I was working on. Didn’t stutter once and cut everything I put under the blade. Awesome bit of kit Laser didn’t seem bright enough on a sunny day without shielding with hands but I never like putting my hands under the blade. The trenching set screw was missing when package opened but a quick email to evolution customer service was dealt with quickly and professionally and the missing part came in a day or two. Would deffo buy one of these again. Thanks.”
