“Overall, delighted with it. Made light work of laminate flooring with a nice smooth cut. It is a bit noisy so ear protection required but that’s true of any similar item. Also an extra work clamp would have been a nice touch. Having said all of that I am still really pleased with it.”

“I needed to add a smaller sliding mitre saw to my collection to fill a gap ,I would normally buy the yellow ones but for the amount of use this one will get i really could not justify the price.Anyway this one came up on screwfix on a daily deal that included the evolution saw stand as well, so i read the reviews and thought i would take a chance,As always with screwfix delivery was on time,i un-boxed the saw and done the very small amount of assembly required,i ran a few cuts and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and feel of the saw in general,At this point,i thought i would check the set-up/accuracy of the saw,To be honest it was almost spot on straight out the box and certainly close enough for most people,but im a bit fussy so spent a couple of minutes adjusting the fence and the mitre till it was 100% spot on.I dont really ever use the laser feature but it was as good as any laser on my other saws.The blade cuts well and clean and is ideal for ripping down,i would change the blade if i was in need of fine cuts in architrave etc but for general use its fine,One thing worth a mention is the bore of the blade is not the standard 30mm it is 25.4mm so to fit any other brand of blade that has the much more common 30mm bore you willl need to use a reducer,these are only a couple of pound but you will need a small stock of them never the less.Only time will tell the longevity but if you register online they come with a 3 year warranty which cant be bad,So to sum up i think within the price bracket this is a exception saw with many features found only on saws of 2 or 3 times the price,i will certainly bee looking more closley at the evolution range of tools in the future.”

“This was my first Evolution power tool. I needed a new one as my very ancient unit had given up on me. Used only for small scale DIY and hobby work, I did not need anything large, heavy or expensive. After reading lots of reviews I settled on the Evolution R210SMS, purchased from Screwfix. Unlike some others, I had no problem with assembling the unit.( I did read the pictorial instructions a few times and identified the various parts before begining) The saw looks the part and seems very well made for the price. I have only used it for cutting mitres in MDF dado rails, so far but it handled this with ease. Like other reviewers, I found the dust extraction facility very poor. I also bought the dedicated Evolution mitre stand. This is a great built unit of excellent quality and worth every penny”
