We only use the Rage 2 machine. Whilst it is a good machine it has a limited life time which we find quite short. We use if for cutting wood with some nails. In saying this the price is reasonable which is why we are on our 4th machine and literally class it as a comsumable product. The previous machine we had developed a problem and was repaired under warranty without question

Bought this saw as I wanted to cut block paving. Bought the diamond blade for the saw and wow what a machine. The saw is fantastic for cutting blocks, I used it on a massive drive which had loads of angle cuts and would not use anything else. This saw took such a hammering, and was covered in brick dust every day for over a week. Fantastic to use tho, got my cuts really precise by being able to shave the bricks that were slightly to big after a cut and was much safer to use than a grinder. Yes u do get the dust everywhere and all over the neighbours windows but I just wore a mask. Not used the saw for anything else yet so can't comment on what it's like cutting other materials.

Bought machine to cut steel box and folded channel sections using the tct. blade and block pavers with a diamond blade. So far only used it for cutting steel at which it has performed well so far. You have to make sure heavier work pieces are well supported either side of the cut as the base of the machine is quite narrow and the clamp arrangement does not look very robust also it is a bit fiddly when setting up angle cuts. I bought is as it is the only budget chop saw that claims and demonstrates (see u tube) block cutting capabilities. I will know how well it performs over time after laying my block weave drive. Over all looks like a good value machine for a serious DIY user or small business.

Quick, clean cut with a minimal burr. The accuracy is good for both square and 45 degree cuts. I have used it for box section, square bar and flat bars with no problem. Only improvement I could think of would be to provide a metal handle instead of plastic on the clamping wheel. I feel the plastic version may have a limited life. I would recommend it as opposed to an abrasive cut due to less mess.
