I purchased the saw to help me slash up some African Mahogany boards. These were 8 ft long and 12"w x 4" thk and far too heavy to lift onto my saw bench. I set the saw at a depth of 30mm and cut from both sides using the included fence. I then set the saw for 55mm depth and finished both cuts allowing me to slice up the boards. The saw went through the mahogany like a hot knife through butter and didn't even lose speed. I was very impressed and would recommend it to anyone. The blade is really good and didn't kick back at all even at the ends of the cut where the fence ran out of length. This is a seriously good piece of kit and performs as good as saws costing twice to three times the price. Regards David Jennings.

Over the moon. I do occasional DIY but get a professional if something needs doing properly. I can cut fairly straight with a hand saw but wanted to knock up a few things for the garden from old pallets. I thought a circular saw would help speed and accuracy but I've never owned one, considered them dangerous. I did a lot of research online. There's a lot of choice, from cheap own brands to expensive products for professionals. What clinched it was its versatility, and cuts any material (useful if I miss extracting a nail) and in particular, changes to the new model: lighter, quality (markings are smart and clean), introduced a brake and longer cable (safety). All for just £50! I've found lots of YouTube videos on making jigs to help me cut wood straighter, quicker, and safer helping me get the most from my new tool.

The saw itself is great, easy to adjust and cuts well, my biggest issue is the blade size and bore makes it a pain to get alternative blades. I know evolution do a few but I don't want to feel caged into a brand and the inherent prices.
