“The itself is very good and sturdy. What I was disappointed about, was the fact, it was not mentioned anywhere, that the machine is not suitable for household electric outputs. When starting, immediately the fuse popped out and the motor stopped. I had to buy an additional device to limit the startup power. After that, it worked just fine.”

“When it is working it is a good tool. However, it has broken down after very little use. The mechanism that raises the blade guard out of the way is broken and does not move out of the way when the saw is lowered. This means that in order to use the saw the blade guard must be held up with one hand. It is extremely dangerous. Also, the hinge where the saw is joined to the base is very wobbly. This means that the angle of a cut can vary by a couple of degrees. It leads to inaccuracy and inconsistency. It is vert disappointing. This is sold as a 'professional grade' tool but the build quality is not good at all. I have only made about a hundred cuts with the saw and it is currently unusable. Furthermore, I have been waiting well over a week for Evolution to arrange repair but no contact yet. The saw is only 4 months old so it is well withing warranty but Evolution do not seem interested. Overall a very disappointing experience of both the tool and the company. I should have bought the DeWalt.”

“I used it in metal and wood i am completely satisfied! i haven't used it in aluminum, but i don't use it in actually any constructions so it doesn't really matter. I am really happy i bought it and i think this tool will keep making me smile every time i see it on my working bench!”

“The EVOSAW355 is a first class tool. In the past I have used abrasive chop saws. The EVOSAW355 leaves them all standing. It is quick, clean and powerfully. The quality of the cuts are superb. I only wish it had the quick release vise like its North American brother. But that said, a fantastic tool at a good price.”

“I was looking for a metal chop saw to help with planned welding work and read many reviews and watched many videos on Youtube before homing in on the Evolution Rage 2 355 model. I came across an advert in Ebay for manufacturer-refurbished used models at a good price and classified according to their refurbished condition - e.g. grade B, grade C. After speaking with a very nice lady in the Evolution customer care team and gaining some reassurance I decided to go for a grade C model and have been absolutely delighted with both the condition and the - honestly - brilliant cutting results of this saw. I am genuinely pleased with this purchase. The saw came properly packed in an original box, together with spare motor brushes and user manual. Well done Evolution!”
