“Without doubt the plate improves safe use of the table saw - so much so that it should be provided as an extra with every saw sold. It's a pity that the saw blade is so difficult to set to 90 degrees and refuses to remain set at a right angle. Special thanks to the customer services team. The plate was not available when I ordered it but it was sent to me immediately it was in stock again.”

“The 255mm blade wound fully down is still touching the insert. Not ideal so i changed to a smaller blade and used that first. Then I went back to the 255mm blade. This seemed a lot safer. I would not want to try and start the saw with the blade pushing on the insert. Once done it is really good though.”

Hi Gavin, If your 255mm blade won't retract low enough to allow a clean cut of the Zero Clearance Insert it could be because sawdust and chippings are blocking the underside of the saw mechanism.
