Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Evolution’s RAGE5-S Aluminium Throat Plate Upgrade includes a pair of zero clearance inserts. Stiffer, stronger, made from cast alloy and designed to fit perfectly, it’s the ideal solution for anyone who needs to make the most accurate narrow, full-depth cuts on their RAGE5-S Table Saw. Evolution’s new Aluminium Throat Plate is stiffer than our OEM plastic version and any aftermarket options. It offers more support to the workpiece, and is now adjustable at each corner to ensure it sits perfectly flush with the table top and is less likely to flex when you’re applying a lot of downward force to help make a full-depth cut in a short workpiece. It’s precision cast to offer a perfect fit and uses the same simple and reliable locking mechanism as the OEM insert.

“Took 2 hours to set up but now cuts 100% straight. Easy to use, fence is strong and sturdy. I watched the review from 'Casual DIY' on youtube and must say I am very impressed.”

“Got this upgrade to replace the original awful plastic insert plate. A huge improvement and good build quality. Sits a bit high at one side so I'll need to trim the offending side (underneath) a little to get it stting level. Good to get two insert plates. I'll keep the original for angled cuts. This upgrade makes the saw much safer to use. My only grouse is the price. This upgrade should really be offered at cost price to those of us who were supplied with the original insrt plate.”

“I bought another as these are aluminium and the original are only plastic so I now have an Aluminium one for 45 cuts and 90 degree cuts.”
