“I purchased this saw from Screwfix due to the discounted price they have/had. It came well packaged, although mine had a hole in the side of the box, the casing of my saw has a deep scuffing in the same place as the hole was in the box, I have no way of knowing if this occurred in the factory or in the delivery depot. Saying that, it in no way effects the operation of the saw, it just looks bad. The assembly of the saw was easy after I got past the first step. The first stage for me was an absolute nightmare, for the life of me I could not fathom out just what the instructions were trying to tell me what I should do, in the end I phoned up Evolution (Sheffield) and was put through to the technical department. The service they gave me was an absolute joy, it was explained just what I should actually do for step 1 of the assembly. I would give the technical department (Sheffield) 10 out of 10. It is very reassuring when the tech guys explain things in an easy to understand way without talking down or being patronising. The rest of the instructions were easy to follow and the main parts are all clearly numbered, the bolts and nuts etc were all in separate bags with the instruction booklet telling you what bag they were in. Once put together I checked it to see if the blade was square to the mitre and the fence and can happily say they were, there is some very slight movement on the mitre in the T-track but a strip of gorilla tape soon sorted that out. This saw (or at least mine) is ready to use straight from the box with good straight cuts, the fence is solid as is the fence face plate. All in all it is a good solid saw and worth every single penny I paid for it (And I got free scuffing) I would totally recommend it.”

“The saw itself is quite good, however the instructions and videos are not, you need to guess some of the assembly, poor editing on the video showing assembly errors. The list of included items is incorrect. There is no guidance on setting/calibration of saw blade angle. It feels like this saw has been rushed to get it on the market.”
