Excellent saw, ideal for limited working space. Legs tricky to assemble, but helpful video on Evolution web site. However in Step 4 in the video, it shows the partial assembly of the legs with the catch being at the back, opposite the winding handle and switch. Then in Step 6, at time 3.43, the catch and leg assembly are changed to the correct position which is at the front, above the winding handle and switch. I've made a zero clearence insert as the supplied one allows thin pieces to drop into blade recess.

Mitre fence sticks in mitre track. riving knife is bent, so you have to adjust your cut through the blade

It’s early days yet but so far I’m very pleased. The saw was purchased to replace a table saw bought from a budget supermarket. I had two fail after minimal use. The Evolution R255PTS is in a different class. I particularly like the security of the Rip Fence and the convenience of being able to “park” the saw when not in use and equally being able to wheel it to the job.

Good value for money table saw.Pros:solid stand. Highly portable and easy to set up and put away.Cuts accurately once calibrated. Cons: Mains lead is too short for convenience. The fence and mitre attachments could be a tighter fit for improved accuracy. An emergency stop button would be a good safety improvement as start/stop buttons aren't the easiest to get to. Overall a nice bit of kit for the money but I've only had it fir a couple of weeks so far.

A very impressive saw. I purchased this after my previous table saw finally gave up and this ticked all the boxes for what I wanted in a suitable replacement. Despite being a departure from the usual power tool brand that I tend to stick with, first impressions were good. Firstly it has a larger table than many rivals providing a good, stable working area. With the table extended, it also handles ripping large sheets with ease and without the typical balancing act of smaller tables. The fence clamps both front and back across the table which is absolute steadfast when locked in place and allows for very accurate cutting. The guard is also very easy to remove making blind cuts easy. The motor was my initial concern as it was far less powerful than what I would have bought but I took a chance after reading online reviews. I was not disappointed. The saw cuts easily through thicker timber and an unexpected bonus is that it seems to run much more quieter than I am use to. The saw does take some time to assemble from the box but since you're only going to do this once, it's hardly a criticism. The stand is very stable and when folded down onto it's wheels, makes it very easily to transport and stow away. There's very little not to like about this saw but unlike other table saws in the Evolution range, this one doesn't come with a dust extraction hose. I don't know why, it really should and otherwise detracts slightly from an overall excellent saw. Anyway, at £199.99 you get a lot of tool for your money and I've paid a lot more for less! Excellent saw, great price and good performance. You'll need to go a long way to beat this.

Dear Sir. Your advertisement for the Evolution R255 PTS bench saw was very misleading. The Advert you have shown was for the Evolution rages 5s. and not R255 which I bought because of your Advertisement. As for the saw, I am very satisfied with it the price is very good for the extras you get on the saw. Overall I am very happy with the Saw and will give it 5 stars.

Good value saw. Accurate, does what it says. Power lead could do to be a little longer. The insert plate is on the flimsy side, a zero clearance plate is required. But for £200 it's well worth it.
