After hours of research using reviews and sales data I eventually decided on the Rage5-S table saw. Not disappointed. My previous experience was with a Clarke Table saw which did the job but only just. Ok, the Rage5-S was a lot more expensive but it does a fantastic job. I comes with its own built in collapsible table which is easy to fold and unfold (when you get the knack) which gives a great steady working height. Initial assembly and set up takes a while but this effort is amply repaid. It is relatively quiet and contrary to some other reviews the dust extraction works well with just an ordinary vacuum cleaner. One test was to cut down an Ikea cabinet to a smaller size and it cut all the laminated chipboard without any chips to the surface. The expansion of the table is great for larger timber/sheet stability. I would not classify this unit as professional kit but as a DIYer it is brilliant. If there is one criticism then it is the weight (quite heavy to pick up). Also it is on wheels like a sack barrow but too wide to pass through a standard door. These are small criticisms for what is a excellent tool.

excellent saw, however the instructions for putting the legs on could have been explained better. I also have an evolution mitre saw you cannot go wrong with these tools.

I give a score of 4 because for the money, I'm very happy with it, that said, there is some room for improvement. It is possible to set it up to produce accurate and repeatable cuts (which, if it were pass/fail, would make it a pass). However, I wouldn't advise readjusting the miter attachment for the chariot if you want it to continue to give you repeatable cuts over time, my advice would be to take the time to set it dead square once, then tighten it to lock it in place, and leave it that way. Use the blade angle or jigs for angular cuts when necessary. Another point is the throat plate (plastic plate around where the blade protrudes on the table) is not rigid and therefore smaller pieces cannot be cut accurately until the throat plate has been replaced with something rigid. Other than that, once again evolution has invested in quality only where absolutely essential in product design in order to bring us a serviceable tool at the price we want, I think this is as good as you'll do in this price bracket, and anything you're not happy with you can generally DIY a solution, I recommend this product!

Amazing product for the price. Easy to use and put together. Only one problem is the guide moves a little as it is t fixed both ends but other than that can’t recommend enough.

The assembly process could be made simpler and the booklet of instructions could do with being corrected in places, but otherwise the saw seems very good. I have yet to try it out thoroughly but It looks pretty good from what I have done so far.

Very good saw for the price as large table and sliding mitre are as good as more expensive models, good feature is the way it packs up and easy to wheel around, straight forward to assemble if you follow instructions, well packed in box with good protection for the saw

Very Happy with this table saw so far... A couple of minor points... The length of cable supplied is too short, surely a couple of metres more isn't going to affect the possible sales price/profit margin? If a zero tolerance insert had been available as an accessory I would certainly have been willing to buy one...instead I had to make my own. I have only been using this saw for a couple of weeks but no mayor complaints so far and as a keen diy user it is far superior to the saw it replaces.
