This was an upgrade from my chop saw and I wish I had upgraded earlier. Superb piece of kit which is very versatile. Some reviews said it was not square or true, well as an engineer I know you always have to check and possibly adjust any tool before using it but this was spot on out of the box. I have used this quite a bit for cutting wood to length and some trenching and it's a breeze to set up and use. See no reason it should not give proper service for years if maintained. I recommend buying the stand as it makes the saw very stable and easy to support long lengths of material.

Fantastic piece of kit. I have had an Evolution circular saw for years, which is fab, so bought this on the strength of that experience, plus you can cut metal too. Very accurate cuts, provided it's set up right at the factory, which mine wasn't. I had to adjust every single setting to get the machine to cut true at every angle. Followed the instructions on re-calibrating, which were clear, although you have to keep flicking back to the diagrams, which are all together, divorced from the text. Anyway, now it's perfect (almost).

My old B&Q mitre saw expired after 15yrs of hard work, half way through a DIY job. Decided I wanted a double bevel saw after experience with the last one. Most of my tools are DeWalt but the Evolution R255 was significantly cheaper for an equivalent cut depth and reach. Reasonably easy to assemble but my example needed a little adjustment to get true 90deg cuts. Well built (for the price), easy to use and much quieter than my old machine. The soft start and electric brake are great features. Recommended.

Does everything it says. Makes accurate mitres and the 300 mm board width is great. Dust generation is a wee bit of a problem though. Get a good vacuum cleaner for clearing up after a session.
