For the price this is an excellent mitre saw. No problem to assemble, easy to use and with the laser easy to cut on the line you require. I had a problem with the laser and had to contact technical support who tried to talk me through the problem. It appeared that it was faulty and they organised pick up, repair and redelivery very quickly. This is one of the best customer service organisations I have dealt with and am confident if I have any queries or problems they will be there to help and support.

Hi to whome this may concern, i must admit the saw is a good item especially with the power up motor when youre cutting larger items. Unfortunately i cannot give it 5 stars due to not having it very long ,but i must admit it is a very good tool hopefully i will be able to give it 5 stars if it lasts more than 2 years

This is the third evolution saw I have bought. That says a lot about the quality and reliability you can expect from evolution power tools. My use is only DIY and for that this saw is perfect for me. The angles the blade was set at were actually spot on - I. E. When cutting straight across and at the 45 degree cut setting. That’s fantastic. In strong daylight the laser is invisible! Just mark your cuts and it’s fine so I’m not bothered by the laser. Assembly was sii I per easy too which was great. My SMS255+ was missing the dust bag but was replaced without any issue. That’s really good too so evolution customer service are clearly very good. The issues I noticed are the smell from the motor which smelled like the brushes were burning out. It might just be the new components burning off some manufacturing oils or coatings we’ll have to wait and see. It worked perfectly of course and cut properly which is the important bit. The slight worry is the handy 3 year warranty. I registered the item on the evo website but haven’t received any actual confirmation of the limited 3 yr warranty. Smell aside, it’s a great saw. The blade is really good but if you’re expecting super clean cuts, get a material specific saw. That’s observation not complaint! Overall it’s a recommended saw for the money.

Only recently purchased. Initial work with it is excellent and the set up was spot on

Score is reduced due to the poor dust collection. The dust bag that comes with the saw is hopeless. Otherwise cuts cleanly and accurately.

This was easy to set up and took time. Didn't even have to alter anything, cut true straight away. One thing, the labels on the bed leave a nasty mess.

Excellent value for money. Recommend swapping the blade for a dedicated 80T woodworking blade for timber work, made a big difference to the finish of the cut. Laser is unusable, but a gimmick only. Very pleased with the mitre saw overall, would recommend.
