“This does the job well. I've only used it for a few hours, cutting fencing timbers. The cut is not quite as fine as a dedicated wood saw, but this is a machine intended for cutting metals too and the compromise is perfectly acceptable. If I slide the blade through the wood more slowly, I get a smoother cut. The laser guide is not bright enough for outdoor unless the sky is overcast but that's not a problem as lowering the blade onto the workpiece before switching on allows for exact alignment. At the price, can't fault it. A tip - buy the stand - it's good.”
