I had to order this item as a screw came out of the original guard and I could not buy one alone. After much head scratching and trial I re-fitted the old guard mechanism with the new screw, This item needs some instructions to fit!

Obtained saw from friend after son trashed it. All it required was TLC, a new blade and the guard mechanism kit. Kit arrived quickly but without fitting instructions. A quick email sorted it out and it took about 20 minutes to strip and fit. Now I have a saw that’s brilliant and cost me no more than the kit and blade. What’s not to like?

Within just a few short months it broke. The blade rubbed the edge of the mechanism and it broke.
