“I wanted access to a track saw bit also need a circular saw, and didn't wantbto buy both. Im very happy with the quality of this tool and the track; it's my second evolution purchase after already using their mitre saw and being very impressed my it. My only reason for dropping 1 star is the plastic edge of the track came bent (and refuses to sit flat now, even once I have cut and aligned it with the saw) and the bag for the track could be slightly larger (so it is easier to get in and out). Otherwise excellent value for money, would definitely recommend.”

“good priced saw and track, unfortunately a few days after i purchased it evolution reduced the price which is a bit annoying. splinter guard was slightly damaged in transit but customer services have advised thgey will send a replacement.”

“I bought this for a specific job, putting a straight edge down some Larch boards prior to running down the circular saw. Still not done that job but used it for several other jobs I never realised how much easier this kit made it! All I can say is I wish I had got one years ago!”

“I bought the R185CCSX circular saw and 2.8m track combo back in 2020 as a “poor man’s” alternative to the much pricier plunge/track saw offerings from the likes of Festool. My rationale behind my decision lay in the facts that: 1 - I had owned an Evolution compound mitre saw for a couple of trouble-free years and found it to be an excellent purchase; 2 - Whilst it was not a plunge saw, the saw and track combination represented good value for money, especially when compared to other brands, and I felt that the saw might be a better fit for what I would be using it for; and, 3 - I trust the brand. I can state for the record that I have not been disappointed. Everything about it has been excellent, from the ease of setting up the tracks’ splinter guard before its first use, to the quality of the storage/transit bags that were included in the deal. The saw is powerful enough for my needs (not just ripping sheets of ply or mdf); offers a more than adequate depth of cut; in addition to the ease of their use, the tracks turn the - let’s face it - somewhat questionable accuracy of a circular saw, into a tool of reliable precision; the ability to attach a dust extraction hose reduces the typical mess; and the multi-material blade is outstanding, and cuts so cleanly that the “Sunday best” blade I bought rarely makes an appearance off the subs bench. From being a tool that I hated using, I now treat a circular saw as a “go to” friend, and three trouble-free years in I am still infatuated with it almost as much as my mitre saw. In summary, the R185CCX circular saw with tct multi-material cutting blade and 2.8 track is a great all-rounder that I am pleased I bought, and I am happy to recommend both the products and Evolution brand.”
