The lecturers are good people and readily available to answer questions. The resources are alright and the text books are useful (paid separately with a discount).

The lecturers are good people and readily available to answer questions. The resources are alright and the text books are useful (paid separately with a discount. There are two serious issues with this course. Firstly, finding and accessing practice exams is not easy and there are not that many. The course guides you through to do a few tests and you have one formal session of mock exams. The course would have been significantly better if there was a mock bank available for when you get close to exams and need to do a lot of revision. The second issue is the lack of marking. You are marked exclusively on two oral mocks (one advocacy and one interviewing). There are no marked mock exams for the written. This is completely insufficient. The SQE2 is already hard enough to navigate and find information about. I do not think that any course that does not provide written mock feedback is not worth it for preparing for these exams.

Overall the course was great and a good preparation for the exam. The oral mocks were very helpful with the personalised feedback. Large number of topics covered for all skill areas. Advocacy tutor extremely helpful in reviewing practice videos. I would have appreciated more time included in the course schedule to revise the FLK (the law content) as the course is heavily focused on the skills, and with the volume of work required each week it's very hard to find time to revise the law. I understand this is the case with all providers though. To make the most of this course, make sure to revise FLK before and during the course, and be prepared to work hard.

It was a good experience, overall. The mock exams for the SQE2 preparation course was useful, as well as the SQE2 exam preparation course itself, which was specifically run just before the exams. The manuals provided were very helfpul. My main issue was in regards to the running of the sessions and the units, and what largely consisted of us (the students) teaching ourselves what we needed to know. And then, after we have done the recommended reading, we have a go at some questions and after, look through the points to note to see if we covered everything that we could have. There was therefore very limited provision for "live" feedback on work that had been undertaken, and opportunities to discuss why a student may have got something wrong. This was particularly worrisome with the oral tasks, where your fellow student would not have the sufficient know-how to give the requisite feedback that would allow one to actually improve on the stated skills. For these reasons, I believe that the price quoted may not adequately reflect what is described as an "asynchronous" learning format. I have also had unfortunate issues with receiving timely responses, and having to chase to get information that should be readily available is another matter that has left a bad taste in the mouth. Nevertheless, it was an insightful course, and it prepared me for the SQE2 exams in a way that I may not have been able to if I chose to do so individually.
