“It was a very hot week and the Aircon could not cope. It was hot on the boat hot in the rooms. A couple of fans in the dining room would've made the world of difference sitting on the top deck was not a pleasure as we had to hold umbrellas over us to stop us getting burnt as this is now the new normal in our Climate this has to be addressed”

Only problem was that the air conditioning was just short of ok for the exceptionally high temperatures”
“We had an enoyable cruise with a good programme of visits. The crew were first class, and the quality and variety of the food excellent.
The publc areas on the boat were comfortable, and fellow guests mixed well.
We were prepared for a small sleeping cabin, but the storage was much more limited than we expected. The ventillation for the cabin and en-suite was limited (you cannot open the cabin window) resulting in a stuffy feeling at night.
If this cruise interests you, anticipate a very small cabin with poor ventillation, and limit what you take with you.”

“Great to have a UK based river cruise. Good range of tours each day and excellent on-board service and food/drink. 5* on all these.
Only downsides were the fact that some trips involving transfers did not allow time or suitable transport given the age and ability needs of some passengers. Plus on the final day we felt somewhat abandoned as all the crew bar one had the day off, all facilities were in the boathouse not on the ship, breakfast was limited (just when we might need something substantial before travelling home) and collecting our cars was unsupervised (unlike on our arrival).
Finally, we took the option of the overnight stay at Hatherley Manor hotel the night before the cruise. Very disappointing quality and choice of food, More 3* than 4.”

“A very enjoyable cruise with very pleasant fellow cruisers. The food was excellent. The cabins are small but well designed and comfortable and the crew were very attentive to everyones needs. The highlight for us, this time (this was our third cruise aboard the 'Edward Elgar') was the visit to the Morgan Car Factory.”

“We had a delightful trip on the Edward Elgar. This was our second time. Excellent food. (3 cooked meals a day). Brilliant staff. All house drinks, tea, coffee, wine, beer etc included. A good balance of trips out and relaxing cruising. All trips are included and well organised. Be aware that cabins are on the small side, but adequate. Beds are full length. Surprising amount of storage. Spacious and comfortable saloon and dining areas. Lots of outside space. We will be back!”
