A wonderful break on a beautiful river at a relaxing pace. Despite problems caused by the drought, the staff and crew handled the changes professionally. From the initial booking of the trip, we were well informed at each stage about what to expect. The videos, especially getting from Hatherley to the boatyard, were really helpful. The crew were excellent, turning their hand from waiting at the table, to mooring the boat, with unobtrusive skill. The food was excellent, and the beds very comfortable. I would love to return again one day. Even the weather was perfect, although you cannot take credit for that!

An excellent relaxing cruise, being able to take things at our own pace. The meals were excellent and the crew were very helpful in meeting everyone's needs. The commentary from the Captain was very useful. The cabins have been improved since we last cruised on M.V Edward Elgar and the deck furniture too. Our fellow passengers were pleasant and very easy to get along with. All in all, despite the problems with the water levels at Gloucester Dock, this was definitely the most relaxing holiday we have enjoyed for a long time.

This is on the quintessential English river at a slow ,soothing pace.Balm for the soul and actually very comfortable.Impressive use of small space, lovely staff and good food.Excellent wine but the star is the river and her interreaction with the land and life. We loved it and everything spot on. If you don't do this once in your life you will miss out on one of life's great experiences. A total delight

I enjoyed the cruise, my first time with English Holiday Cruises. The circumstances were a bit difficult, with the closure of Gloucester lock causing a curtailment and change of itinerary announced only on Friday, with the cruise beginning on Monday. The food was excellent, with a good variety of dishes and a change I needed to one main course for health reasons willingly provided. The crew were friendly and highly efficient. The itinerary was good, with time to explore the towns where we moored, Worcester, Stourport and Upton. The only real disappointment, caused by the last minute change of itinerary, was the call at Tewkesbury, where I was one of at least six passengers not to go ashore. The mooring had extremely poor access, requiring guests to ascend and descend an unguarded staircase witha sheer drop on to concrete - not really ideal for a group no longer in the first bloom of youth. A coach transfer from Upton would, I think, have been wiser. Acknowledging that this a last minute arrangement, I have maintained a five-star rating for the cruise as a whole.

Excellent relaxing week on the Severn River. Perfectly organised. All aspects of the holiday perfect. Big thank you to all the staff, who had various unexpected problems to solve on the way; not least shortage of staff. Many thanks.

Lovely 6 day cruise on the Severn. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the food was plentiful and delicious. It was a set menu but chef was more than happy to accommodate changes if it didn't suit. Stopping in a town or village every night was a winner over other cruises, we could walk around and enjoy a drink or coffee in town. In Worcester we let chef know and went for our evening meal out. Cabins are compact as it has to be on our rivers. Everything was kept clean and any requests for extra supplies were attended to promptly. All the staff were friendly, we also learnt history of features on the trip and saw an otter which was a super treat. We are used to more of a party atmosphere, this trip was the opposite but so relaxing, just the thing to wind down and chill right out. We loved it, thanks to everyone aboard and on shore.
