“In this day and age, I was astounded to learn that we had to pay a restocking fee for a product we needed to return. The restocking fee is stated on their webisite but you have to click on the returns policy link and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see this notification. Even then the warning is "Most non-Empire branded products will charge a restocking fee even for unopened items". I didn't even know I was buying a non-Empire branded product! In addition to this, all products are returned at your own expense. The charge for us was £76. So in all the total cost of returning this product was £261. I am 62 and I had to loan the money to cover this as I did not feel that I could pass this amount onto the organisation, as the loss was down to my stupidity! This has caused me a great deal of upset and stress. Initially, our plan was to buy a replacement from the same company, but we soon changed our mind. I now advise all I know who purchase trade equipment, to give Empire Supplies a wide berth, which is a shame as other than this policy, the company seems quite good, certainly Samantha in customer services was pleasant and professional.”
