 The 1.5mm 3 Core NYY-J offers an alternative to steel wire armoured (SWA) by being very resistant to UV and having a very tough sheath, making it suitable for exterior use's such as outdoors, underground and in concrete. Reaches the same specification as Hi-Tuff Cable.

“I thought I was buying Tough Sheath cable, pvc insulated cores with two layers of pvc outer protection. What I received was pvc insulated cores covered by a soft filler and one layer of pvc. It just needs to be clearer that the Doncaster Tuff Sheath is a different product to NYY High-Tuff. A revue of the difference, with a conclusion for outside use would be useful.”
