“This is a great security light. When my old one failed after many years, I spent quite some time finding exactly the same one. It looks good, it is well made, but it is the operation that is the best part. It is fully automatic and this works perfectly. When it is dusk, the light switches on to 10% brightness to illuminate quite a wide area. When the light senses movement, it turns on to full power and this is really bright. With the light being LED it is very low wattage so we aren't worried about it running up our electric bill. It is a great product and I fully recommend it.”

“Great lamp - the Hi-Lo feature is great. However, the installation and wiring instructions are somewhat poor and do not fully explain all the connections.”

“Nice tidy lantern and looks great on the wall. Seems very sturdy - but time will tell how it lasts and also if the LED does give the 5yr life. Easy to mount, and connect - although the instructions on wiring the unit could be better. There are are 2 additional connection options on the connector block which are not marked nor are they in the accompanying manual .. presumably for connecting slave units?? Otherwise I'm pretty happy.”

“The ASD Half Lantern is OK a bit plastically the only problem is the PIR is not adjustable in any way not a problem for me, but it wood be nice to have an adjustable Lux level switch on and time”

“A nice looking half lantern with an excellent specification that I particularly chose because it was made in UK. However, when it arrived I had several regrets about my choice: 1. The packaging was well below the standard typically experienced today. Crumpled brown box rather than quality package covered in illustrations and specification highlights. 2. The lamp arrived with no unpacking and installation instructions so I will have to set about guessing how to dismantle it before I set about installing it. 3. The enclosed paperwork did include notes that I wish I had seen before ordering it. I plan to install it on a side wall in a recessed porch. It turns out that the daylight detector MUST point outwards towards the open daylight (which it at 90 degrees to the wall on which I want to mount it). Regrettably the detector cannot be rotated, nor can the sensitivity be adjusted so I imagine that the light is going to switch on very early in the evening and stay on until late morning every day. So overall, not installed it yet but my order time optimism is dashed by the reality of the delivery and is likely to be depressed further by the onset of installation experience.”

“Nice lanterns, they are quite bright even on the dim but it's what we wanted and we wanted the hi-lo facility. Easy to install but as others have mentioned the seal around the lights is poor which is not what you expect for this price. Time will tell how good they are. Excellent delivery service from Edwardes though.”
