“Unfortunately, against my hope and expectation, the cotton is just not soft enough. The seams and edging cause skin irritation, the seams are probably just about OK if worn inside-out, but the neck edging still irritates. I have tried tumble-drying and adding clothes conditioner but with no improvement.
I feel there has been some degree of shrinkage after washing, despite following recommended cycles. So I am disappointed.”
“Before this garment can be worn and given its preliminary wash, I am hand sewing the slightly proud lie of the armhole and across-the-shoulder seams so that they lie flat against the skin, which I find is a necessary pre-wear task on most clothing in order to protect skin from breakdown and bleeding. But the organic cotton material is superbly soft.”
“I had 3 of these some time ago & have just replaced them. T-shirts like these are extremely useful both as a base layer when it is very cold, as now, or as a slim fitting T-shirt in warmer weather. It is unusual to find 100% cotton tops like these.”
