Only 3 stars because this one is to replace the exact same kettle that has failed after 4 years. As its not cheap I think this is quite poor. Trouble is I like the kettle so much I'm trying again with a new one.

I'll start by saying I had ZERO intention of spending £80 on a kettle. I mean, come on... all it does is boil water! I had spent about three days scouring the internet for one and this was the one that ticked all my boxes: Dome kettle? Check! Simple handle on top? Check! Stainless steel? Check! Sensible handle on the lid? Check! No gimmicky things that are liable to break? Check! Tasteful design? Check! And so I figured I'd push the boat out. After all, it's a thing I'll be using multiple times every single day for many years. So... it arrived. I was thrilled. Still am. It's the handsomest damn kettle I've ever had. And it's a good pourer. The limescale filter slides in and out really easily and you don't have to wrestle with the lid. Both handles (kettle and lid) stay cool to touch when boiled. And it's quieter than my previous Russell Hobbs dome kettle. The only concern I had was that the on switch looked a bit flimsy, but now it's in use I can see it's fine. So, yes, I'm very pleased with it and thoroughly recommend it. Supposing you're willing to pay the price for a posh brand, of course.

Bought this as I was having problems with another make. It is absolutely perfect. I wanted a simple, well designed, kettle and that is what it is. Brushed steel, nothing cheap about it. Elegant, relatively quite and fast.
