“The upper plate hole was not quite big enough to accommodate the spindle and required some pushing and wriggling to assemble the stand. It was possible after some effort and the end result is stunning, but as I was forcing the spindle through I was constantly afraid I would end up breaking the plate. Because of this, I'll be keeping the stand assembled, though I would have preferred to be able to disassemble it for easier storage.”
