A beautiful and intense ruby red colored wine. This has a pronounced bouquet of black berried fruits, mainly cassis and blackcurrant, with notes of licorice and coconut. The palate has an important and well balanced mid-palate, with velvety tannins, the right acidity and a persistent finish. The Primitivo is an ancient vine grown in Puglia, whose grapes have a very precocious ripening compared to other varieties, which explains its name. A very interesting peculiarity of Primitivo is the fact that, only 20 days after the harvest, these vines are able to give a decent second production of grapes. Traditionally, the fruits of this second harvest are used to increase the freshness of these powerful wines, improving the acidity of the grapes obtained from the first harvest.
