Blended in Newquay, Cornwall by the Real Rum Company, Bombo Caramel & Spices is a flavoured rum based drink combining the exotic flavours of spices, caramel and Caribbean rum. A seductively smooth drink which is very moreish.The recipe is inspired by one of the oldest mixed rum drinks in the world originating from an 18th century pirate recipe where rum was mixed with sugar and spices. It was also known as Bumboo or Bumbo. This was to help disguise the rather rough taste of the rums being produced back in those days, thankfully a problem we dont have to contend with in this century!Bombo Rum is available in a further four varieties; Bombo Caramel & Banana and Bombo Caramel & Coconut at 24% ABV plus Bombo Caramel & Spices Full On and Bombo Caramel & Coconut Full On at 40% ABV.

“This is my husbands favourite drink and we usually get it delivered from Cornwall which is where he first tried it, however I found it on your site and ordered 3 bottles but unfortunately it doesn't taste as it normally does. It's normally got a syrupy consistency but this is quite runny. There's no caramel flavour coming through, it tastes quite burnt actually. My husband was very disappointed with this as it was a surprise gift for his 40th birthday.”

“First bought this at GardnersWorld Live in the BBC Good Food Hall, fell in love with the taste straight away and had to order some more. Full of flavour and easy to drink neat or with a mixer.”

“It's what I call dangerous. The rum is smooth and sweet that every sip you take you want more. Get a tall glass filled with ice, then pour the rim and let it cascade to the bottom.”
