Underberg Bitters is the famous German Digestive traditionally drank after a meal. It contains herbs from 43 different countries, and bottled in 2cl size bottles at 44% vol. It is produced without any added sugars and is scientifically proven to stimultae digestion. It also contains antioxidants and is certified Kosher. Lovely herby nose, with amber colour. The initial taste is sweet, then comes herbs and more herbs followed by a kick of alcohol.

“I think I have reciewed Underberg before. However, I discovered the product when serving with the RAF in the Netherlands in mid 1990's. I had a very upset stomach when out for a meal (not related to restaurant I ate in). Our host took me back to our hotel where the (Britih) barman introduced me to Underberg followed by a large port & lemon. It was the Underberg that settled my tummy as I was not a fan of port but got through it. Been a fan ever since as I have had a stomach ulcer so any over eating makes me feel bloated, no mater how small the meal. Underberg will always settle my tummy quite quickly and I can rest in the evening. My tummy discomfort normally occurs after evening meal despite reducing the quantity of the meal. Other thn that, I highly recommend Underberg.”

“Delivery is always as promised unless you are out of stock. That said, you usually get more stock in quickly which is appreciated. The herbal effects of Underberg I find are better than pharmacy prescribed meds for stomach problems. I have been taking Underberg since 1994 when I was based in the Netherlands with the RAF. After a bad experience of spicy foods one of our Royal Navy hosts took me back to my hotel and after a shot of Underberg and a glass of port & lemon within 90 minutes I felt much better!! It was the Underberg that did the trick!! An amazing product!!”

“How do you describe Underberg? Here goes,, my first experience of Underberg Christmas 2023, lovely box with 12 x 20cl and bottles. I took my Underberg at room temperature and wow it was like a shot of pure heaven. Lovely flavours and worth every penny.”

“Super quality underberg i used to drink this years ago when i was in Germany but re.discovered it recently here in England. In pubs and bars they had gun belts with the bottles in instead of bullets ( clever ).Natural taste with a kick and certainly settled my stomach many times over lovely herbs taste with a hint of licorice. 1846 was certainly a very good year .”
