The DKN XC-140i elliptical cross trainer is also equipped with a conventional, but function-rich console with 2-colour LCD, backlit display that provides a constant feedback on crucial workout data such as time, speed, distance, calories, watts and heart rate. The console features 4 user profiles storing age, gender, weight and height info and provides a wide choice of workout programmes that include 1 manual, 12 pre-set (4 beginner, 4 advanced, 4 performance), heart rate control and watt control programmes. To enable heart rate measurement the DKN XC-140i has been equipped with pulse grip sensors and a built-in wireless receiver for more accurate heart rate readouts. The receiver requires using a chest strap (not included with the elliptical, can be bought separately). “Not at all impressed with this. The center console wobbles frequently at higher speeds and has to be tightened pretty much before each use. I have given up using the ipad app with this due to frequent problems. Getting it to connect in the first place is difficult enough, but if you want to read using another app when you flick between the two, it often restarts the program ruining your work out. I very quickly got to working out on the highest setting, so it is a shame it cant go higher. I still use it everyday, but I would not recommend this product.”

“I purchased the DKN cross trainer over a year ago. I have been using it for at least 3 hours a week. So far it's been excellent, very smooth and very quiet. I have never used the ipad facilitie, so can't comment. I would recommend it.”

“On the whole I am very pleased with this trainer. It performs really well and is well built and quiet in operation. I bought it purely for cardiovascular exercise following a heart attack last August and chose it mainly for value for money (it was on offer saving over £200 on the recommended retail price) and the Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately, the app on android doesn't work properly on versions above 4.4 which is a pain and needs updating. I also bought it with the optional chest band which worked great for the first 2 months and then failed? The instruction manual is OK, but you don't seem to be able to change the units from km to miles? The control buttons are back lit with very bright white LED's making it difficult to read the button ident when it's switched on. Overall I would recommend this trainer at the price I paid.”

“I have now owned DKN XC-140i elliptical Cross Trainer for about a year. I use it for one hour three times a week. It's very smooth and had no problem with it. It still feels as good as new. I would definitely recommend it.”
