“The build quality of vents and air supply is very poor. Door knob impossible to use after 10 min after you light the fire on, it gets crazy hot. Do not have same issues with my first log burner. Wish I bought the same and not this one....”

We are sorry to hear of any disappointment regarding the stove received. The Woolly Mammoth 5 is one of our most affordable stoves. While this is a very popular item which does come recommended at the price point at which it is sold, we're sure you can appreciate that the overall build quality will not be as high as some of our more expensive models.
Insofar as the handle, any stove with a metal handle will become hot over time which is why operation with a stove glove is generally recommended. Again, we do offer some models with wooden or cool-touch handles are our sales team would be happy to make recommendations if we can advise regarding any future orders.

“I’ve run he stove a couple of times now and it’s brilliant I especially like the vents with give control over the burn rate and it’s only taken these two attempts to get used to setting up draught rates for maximum efficiency.”
“Chose a Woolly Mammoth as it was one of the stoves recommended by the Co' that fitted it into my cottage. Very pleased with it so far, easy to use, heats up quickly, lovely big glass window in the door, is fairly easy to clean out and I think it looks very smart. Still getting used to regulating the flow of air but that's trial and error on my part ! Direct Stoves delivered very quickly and on the day I had chosen and well packaged.
