“The fire is excellent. Unfortunately Direct Stoves don't use direct to deliver items. I've just moved house and admittedly I didn't double check my delivery address which somehow managed to get jumbled up with my old address. Anybody with an ounce of common sense could see the address didn't look right except for the stupid driver who only chose to call me to clarify after he had arrived at the wrong address. Consequently Direct Stoves thought the best outcome was to charge me for a re-delivery. I worked in customer service for 40yrs and I think it's not a balanced decision to charge me over £100 for the re-delivery especially as the fire and bits came to over £900. Happy with the fire disappointed with the response from Direct Stoves in particular one of their Directors who made the decision.”

We are sorry for any inconvenience regarding delivery. While we offer a free one-man delivery service, this is chargeable to ourselves by our delivery partner. We are happy to subsidize this for initial shipping to offer the best prices that we can, but unfortunately we have been unable to waive the redelivery charge on this occasion due to the size and weight of the appliance and the cost to ourselves. As you acknowledge, the issue with the delivery address was ultimately a customer error and not the fault of Direct Stoves.

“Issue with cold air at foot level. Seems to warm very efficiently from about 18" upwards, but feet and lower legs remain cold. If I put the remote control on the floor by my feet, it never reaches temperature although the air higher up gets very warm! Also blows a blast of cold air when starting and stopping”
