“Direct Fireplaces were a good company to deal with. Everything was straightforward from start to finish. The fire surround arrived on the pre-arranged date in a secure pallet and was well protected. I purchased the unfinished pine tulip surround and beeswaxed it myself with Georgian oak. It came in 3 pieces with screws, one of the screw holes was a little off but otherwise good. The craftsmanship of the tulips is lovely and they really make the piece stand out beautifully. If you are going to fix it to the wall, you will need to purchase fixings as these are not provided. The surround really finishes off the room and complements my previously purchased antique cast iron fire, purchased at auction, that I have refurbished.
