“It's a detailed guidebook for Sport Climbing in the Wye Valley with useful pictures but sometimes I wonder if I need to bother climbing the routes after having read the descriptions My Spanish friends would be furious at losing the onsight.
I find the deprecating language used throughout to be frustrating and off-putting. The author's don't need to keep on reminding us that the crags are not of amazing quality. We are all very aware that it is not Margalef. The Wye Valley is a stunningly beautiful area, even if quarried climbing isn't that pretty, it's better than looking at fluorescent pink and green on a gym wall by orders of magnitude.”
