“I wanted something bigger than the zenith but smaller than the Flight and by DMM given the quality and in response to other customer comments the Short Haul was born. For my regular climbing gym bag I can't fault it. The bag is as rugged and functional as expected of DMM kit. Enough room for all my kit and my laptop if required. I've removed the chest and the waist straps (not needed between car and gym). The suitcase opening works for me, gone are the days of emptying the rucksack to get to the shorts stuffed and creased at the bottom. Some people have commented the bottle pocket isn't strong enough. Seems solid enough to me, a cycling sized drinks bottle being a perfect, tight fit. I thought I would miss the old classic DMM colours (partial to the green) but seeing a number of the new bag around in addition to my own (blue), I'm converted to the new colours. Give it another 10 or years and no doubt the green will appear again as classic retro.”
