“Bought this second device for my son after using one myself for a while. Overall it's a good device and I really like it. I use many other devices, but I had hoped this would be a "do it all" type device. It probably could be, apart from the fact that it won't work well (or at all) with fatter ropes - so it's useless at the climbing wall unless you're leading on your own ropes, and it's a gamble if you're climbing with someone else's rope. It supposedly runs up to 10.5mm, but in practice I'd say you get nowhere near that. 9.8/10mm feels like the sensible limit.
Everything else is slick though, it leads well, top-ropes well and always has the obligatory manual option and guide mode option. Lowering is a little clunky compared to something like a grigri, and especially that last bit of slack you need to give as their feet touch the floor, but it's still fine when you get used to it.
TLDR: I like it, I use it a lot, it has its quirks but it can't replace my other devices.”
