Cake texture - Moist
NEGATIVES:
Very difficult to successfully cut the cake into pieces without using a bit of pressure - Under the top layer it was covered in a hard layer of chocolate. The top was covered with an excessive amount of buttercream and lots of lovely Reeses, hiding the hard chocolate layer - To successfully cut the cake it's probably best to remove some of the Reeses and use a hot knife to cut/melt through the hard layer of chocolate - the recipient was unaware of the hard layer hidden underneath and found the cake very difficult to slice through.
The Peanut Butter buttercream is REALLY sweet and tastes more like margarine than butter.
The buttercream became very soft and the cake collapsed in the box on the journey home from the restaurant - Needs refrigerating to keep the buttercream in place or the cake will easily collapse.
If the cake hadn't easily collapsed I would have recommended The Peanut Butter Cake to peanut butter lovers! An expensive mess now looking very sad sat in the fridge.”
