However really disappointed with DPD delivery, driver seen on ring doorbell holding the box sideways so came tilted! Even thought it was wrapped super secure, I still had to rearrange most of it when I unboxed it.”
“The cake was beautiful. Looked exactly like it did in the picture. However, the delivery was not so good. Box was just left outside my front door on a terraced street. The driver didn’t stick around to see if anybody answered the door. The cake was left sideways up despite there being numerous this way up signs on the box. Luckily thanks to the expert packiaging by the company the cake was more or less intact (apart from a loose Ferrero Roche). So thank you for helping to make my daughters 18th birthday magnificent”
“The cake was delivered on time which was great, even though the delivery driver was carrying it sideways and didn’t care, that’s a different issue with delivery.
The cake my wife really liked. The presentation was beautiful as well and it really did present itself nicely. I have give 4 out of 5 stars because the taste was not what I was expecting.
Hear me out.
The outside layers were hazelnut tasting and had that Ferraro taste but the inside did not. It tasted like a normal chocolate cake. I even took parts of it and to me, it just tasted like a chocolate cake to me and no truffle or other flavours which was sad but do not get me wrong, it’s not a bad thing just didn’t have the desired taste I was after. If you eat with the outter cream then it’s fine but it is a taller cake than normal but ultimately it’s a good cake, just a 4 out of 5 for me.”
