“It looked very nice but it didn’t taste of chocolate or hazelnut and was extremely dry . The only nice part was the truffle balls on top. Very disappointed.would definitely not purchase again .”
“Prompt delivery, very well packaged, although despite best efforts that didn't stop some slight damage on the top of the cake from occurring, as some of the chocolate decorations were dislodged during transport. Undoubtedly, the wow factor was still evident, as it attracted several comments around the office.
The slight drawback was that the cake had to be left at room temperature for several hours to allow it to defrost fully. Once cut, it tasted fresh and it was liked by all; although some felt that the icing was a bit too sweet, but that's a matter of personal taste.
3/5 overall rating on appearance, taste and for the gratuitously generous 10 servings of a very rich iced, chocolate flavour sponge cake. Sorry, but we couldn't taste the hazelnut much, and it was slightly damaged once opened.”
“The box was delivered on its side, so most of the chocolates on the top of the cake were broken and off to the side. The cake itself slid to the side as well. Thankfully, being frozen it wasn't smashed to the side and kept its shape.
Also, it was sickly sweet.
I ordered the Peanut Butter cake last year and was much happier with that one.”
