It could be that your skin is reacting to something or that your skin's barrier function is impaired, or sensitised. Samples are given for this reason, for customers to try the product for skin compatibility and to feel the product on their skin. Unfortunately, using some samples to test a product does mean that you do not always see the full results, as you would with accumulative usage.
