“I must admit when I first started using this I thought it was rubbish or I had such awful skin that the stickers wouldn't stick to. That was until I realised there's another film on the stickers! I felt very silly. They stuck really well and I'd cut them to size so they fitted my face better. They stay on all night and I will be ordering more.”

“Really works; only dislike it doesn’t stick as well after about 6 uses I’ve ordered the cleaning solution so hopefully that will improve the eye pads. However I have ordered more because they really do take away my eye creases”

Hi Brenda, Thank you for your response to the Wrinkles Schminkles - Forehead and Eye Smoothing Kit. As the pads may have a slight tendency over time to lose their stickiness a little, Wrinkles Schminkles provide tips and advice to help get the most out of your pads: -Before you first try your Wrinkles Schminkles pad, make sure you have clean, dry skin free of lotions or creams of any sort. If you do have anything on your skin, it will greatly reduce the adhesive quality of the pads. Night sweats may interfere with the pads adhesive quality also. -Once you have used your pads, store them correctly by placing them back on the clear plastic sheet provided to prevent the pads collecting dust and becoming non-sticky. -Aim to clean your pads after every few uses to prevent build ups of soaps, sweat, perfume, skin cells, dust and anything else that will reduce the adhesive quality of the pads. Do this with either Wrinkles Schminkles cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol. You can also wash the pads with antimicrobial soap or baby shampoo to reduce contamination of skin cells and other things like lotions. It may be helpful also to clean the area of skin the pad will be placed on with witch hazel; this will reduce contaminates. Allow the area to dry before you apply the pad. -Don’t forget, you can trim or cut the pads to fit your face more accurately. -The better you care for the pads, the longer they will last. -The more the pads are used, we find the top layer wears down and the adhesive becomes stronger. “This kit works really well at first, but I only got around 8-10 uses out of the pads before they lost most of their stick. Have tried washing with the special detergent sold separately but it didn't help much. I'd only use it now before special occasions like a wedding.”

Hi Clare, Thank you for your feedback regarding the Wrinkles Schminkles Forehead and Eye Smoothing Kit. I'm sorry to hear that you don't feel entirely satisfied with this product; we haven't come across this issue before. It is important to take into account the advice from the company that is included in the product. Wrinkles Schminkles state that once that top layer of adhesive wears down a little, they also get a bit stronger. The pads are to be worn on clean, dry skin with absolutely no product or lotions underneath, this interferes with the adhesive quality as well as can cause rashes and reactions. Also, night sweats will interfere with the adhesive quality of the pad. Have you washed the pads ? They do need to be washed regularly, however washing them with an antibacterial soap or baby shampoo will remove the exfoliated skin cells which can interfere with the adhesive quality of the pad. We do also sell another brand called SilcSkin, which is very similar to Wrinkles Schminkles and are also a silicone-based pad.
