“Visted Today for the 3rd time in the last 4 years and was really disapointed, its rather run down now and could do with more free activities and more animals, and the poor animals that are there look so drepressed and sad and were barley moving. Staff were really nice though so that made the visit a bit better.”
“I understand why no photos on website, nothing like other farm visits we’ve been on more like fayre or pier arcade rides outside. Cheap entrance reflected by fact have to buy tokens for all rides.
Positive is my son enjoyed the car and boat ride with generous time limit as not busy day we visited.”
“Not many animals, but on our visit they were very clean and well looked after.
The tokens are a bit of a rip off but my daughter went on a number of rides and had fun. Admittedly they could do with a re-vamp. My main gripe is the cafe. Waited nearly an hour for some sausage and chips, really cramped space and the smell was disgusting! Take a picnic is my advice.”
“Great place to go as a family to see the animals and go on some rides. We watched the lambs being fed on our last visit! The Shire horses are enormous and so beautiful. Make sure you are aware of the token system for rides as you need to buy these for the rides at the entry point. Good climbing frames / park for school aged children. Not much for toddlers in the play park though, hence 4 stars from me”
“I’m only giving it one star as you can’t give it no stars! I agree with the previous poster, this is definitely one attraction to avoid. All of the rides look rather run down, more like a local funfair than anything, and the few animals that they have seem pretty unhappy and not in the best condition. It was such a shame as the website made it sound really nice!”
“Very cheap to get into the farm but then you have buy tokens to go on any of the rides and there is only about 10 animals, all of which looked incredibly depressed. The whole farm needs work as it very run down. I feel scammed as the website looked good and did not mention having to purchase tokens!”
“we have been taking our two children too hop farm since our son was 1.....he is now almost 7 ...he has a 4 yr old sister ….. we have noticed that each time we visit ….((perhaps once a year )) that the entrance fee has changed ….it used too be free and you bought tokens then you paid for parking ...ect ect … years ago it was something that we looked forward too as it was I suppose fairly new & set up different …...but now my son actually gets upset when we arrive ...due too how run down its becoming ….there is lack of (( HAPPY )) staff ….they look so miserable ….and you have two three the most managing 6 different small kiddie rides ……(( mind you there was 5 staff in the gift shop ...lol )) on our last visit in june 2018 three attractions were closed....the food was warm......again the young staff working the kitchen area looked so unhappy …...and it seemed like they would rather be anywhere else . its the last time we will visit the farm...… one thing I will say is the yesteryear attraction has not aged ,but the attractions in the farm are slowly catching up . what a shame …….. paul k”
