“Took our 10 month old who was mesmerized the whole way round. Went on a weekday so was quiet. The divers feeing the fish show was brilliant, as was the shark tunnel. Only issue was paying for parking on top of admission”
“this place is a bit loud some times but it is still so so so so calm i love sharks aswell all the animals are well taken care of. i just didnt get to see my fav animal a penguin does blue planet have them? also i do think this is a good place for people to let loose and calm down”
“My daughter wanted to come and visit as she had heard about the great variety of sea life. The aquarium itself is lovely but was thoroughly ruined by selfish parents and screaming children and pushchairs everywhere. Children were running, screaming, shouting and banging on the glass of the exhibits, during our slightly shortened visit I didn't see or hear a single parent/ carer try to control their kids. Of course not all children behaved badly, just the majority. Also why not ditch the pushchairs as they cause chaos and let's be fair kids in pushchairs won't remember the trip.”
“I came with my son and mum, the day out itself was fun and had a really good time, however we will not be returning. After a long drive there, we decided to have some lunch and a cup of tea before walking around. The high hair I put my son in was horrendous, it clearly hadn't been cleaned properly for a couple of days as there was dried on food and we went early and there wasn't many people there so must have been one of the first to use it, all of the high chairs were the same. All of the tables were also unclean and the place was dead so we had our pick but again, they were all in the same state so we had to wipe down table, chairs and high chair before sitting down. The food was nice but then when my mum came to the end of her cup of tea she found what looked like dried up ketchup in the bottom of her cup which makes you question knives/forks/hygiene of the kitchen etc. We didn't complain because we didn't want to stand at the till and reel off a whole list of complaints and spoil our day further. My advice to anyone is if you want to visit blue planet, don't visit the restaurant! Eat and drink somewhere else unless you want to end up poorly as me and my family are just waiting to start feeling unwell after eating there. It's a brilliant day out but got ruined before it had even begun with the shocking state of hygiene in the restaurant”
“I understand and appreciate the high cost of keeping marine life but the cost just keeps adding up the moment you park the car - for which there is a £2.50 charge. Given the cost of entry I felt this was unacceptable. The restaurant was dirty and the cost of 2 burgers and chips with drinks close to £30. High chairs and tables were unacceptablely dirty. Potential for a good destination but falls short currently. Chester Zoo much better value”
“Myself and the family bought a shark dive for my husbands birthday, I just want to say what a fantastic experience it was for myself and my husband. The divers were fantastic and very passionate about what they do. I was “looked “ after by a girl called Sara, she was informative, passionate about the sharks and other fish and even came and asked us after the dive if we had a good day. As I was on my own I was a bit dubious about being there for a long time but all the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this experience to everyone and thanks once again for a fantastic day. Haven’t stopped talking about it since we got home last night.”
“I can understand people complaining about the high price to visit but in fairness have these people considered how expensive it is to purchase so many varieties of underwater creatures? Add to that the huge amount of money to provide them with the very best facilities and food. If you want to view these beautiful underwater creatures then it has to cost money or it could not survive.”
“Over £43 for myself, my wife and grandchild and we have to pay £2.50 to park. Disgraceful. They know they are going to get more money off us for food, drink and souveniers so why the parking charge. No excuse for this greed. I will not be recommending this place. Chester zoo is just down the road they don't charge for parking and it's a much better day out. Also, there are well documented cases of sharks delibrately seeking out humans to attack so your lecturer saying there are no man eating sharks is talking through his 'sit upon'”
