“At least this place is open until late but it’s progressively getting rundown. Torn soft play equipment, missing mats on the floor of the ball pit, used bottles lying around and old dirt filing uncleaned areas. Needs a good clean every few days at the very least e.g. in between play mats.”
“Booked a party for her 7th birthday, all the kids had a nice time- apart from some of the food being cold.
Unfortunately I feel the fact that you have to pay an extra £1 for every adult that stays with their child is a joke!!!!!!! This charge also applies to the birthday child parents. This seems like another way to make more money from parents when they have already spent over an £120 on a party.Especially when most of the parents bought a hot/cold drink, food and some parents also paid for siblings to go in the soft play too, making around an extra £40 due to the party.I also had to make sure the list of parents was correct as extra parent were added by the staff again trying to make more money
Safe to say I will not be having another party or will be visiting Monster Mayhem again and unfortunately after discussing this with the other parents who came to the party they said they would never book or visit as well. Shame on the managers for abusing parents in this way!!!!!!!”
“Went for first time with my 2 years old son. We arrived at 10am. It was very dirty, like they never clean the night before. All foods lays around inside the soft play. I won't recommended there to anyone. I don't know when they last clean, all food crumbs in between the steps.
It was the worst soft play I have been.”
“I took my son (2 years old) for the first time yesterday. Far too many people and kids, super overcrowded, I was horrified by the way kids are playing without any essential supervision, older kids are jumping on smaller ones can lead to serious injury. Stayed for 30 mins - no seats available for parents, and one older kid almost hit my son. Luckily left uninjured. The authority would need to be careful with child injuries. I may not be coming back, unfortunately.”
“I took my 4 young children to Monster Mayhem unfortunately this was my worst experience, firstly they had no card payment facility. The place looked very very over crowded and far too many children and adults. which I thought was a safety hazard especially coming from a background of a early years practitioner. There were no tables free to sit on and as I said was over crowded, the staff were rushed off their feet and could barely manage to keep up. There was no one supervising the bouncing castle, far too many kids on it at one time even older children banging into younger children.
The bumpy cars only 1 was working out of 3, the staff who was designated to manage it was too busy on his phone to even acknowledge that people were pushing in the queue to get on. After waiting patiently we had to bring it to his attention, finally getting off his phone to assist.
I went on a Saturday after 5pm don't know if that was a terrible day and time to choose?!
Its such a shame because its a place my children have enjoyed in the past. I might give it one more go and try a quite time.”
“I arranged my daughters 4th birthday at Monster Mayhem on 13th Feb 2022. So glad I did, Selina was very helpful and accommodating. Selina made sure the food, cake cutting, singing happy birthday and photos ran smoothly on the day. The parents also got food which is a great touch. The kids had great fun and my daughter had a great birthday. I would definitely recommend Monster Mayhem for a party, was Mayhem but was my great first experience arranging a party for kids Thank you!”
“Just visited there last weekend and OMG it was mayhem but an organised mayhem I could see staff running around with a smiley face cleaning, staff even looked around for me for a table to sit on but unfortunaltly couldn't find on but they advised me to sit on a bench nearby As long as my kids where playing it wasn't a problem for me just happy they let me in and my kids had a good blast . Only thing I would advise for people with younger children is to maybe go abit earlier then 2pm.”
“Took my granddaughter and she loved it..she's 5. I'm in a wheelchair and saying they are not wheelchair accessible I was fine in there. I'd recommend to other wheelchair users. They have a disabled toilet that's unlocked..you don't have to trapse around for a radar key. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. The food was good. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed but we still found a table. Your kids will not be disappointed. Thank you Monster Mayhem.”
