Twycross Zoo Reviews

The worst zoo we ever been.. so many empty spaces with no animals. We felt that we are in some monkey park, not the zoo... they don't have too many big animals. For this price definitely not worth to go there.

Need to bring back the talks and feeding also allow you in to see the small monkeys and don’t like the way they take you round as you can miss things . only spend couple of hours as not much to see. cost a lot and also voucher code didn’t come off at checkout on internet but was a ok day .

Really disappointing if I am honest. We travelled 2.5 hours to visit Twycross as we remembered it from before as a great day out. Oh dear, what's changed?? 25% discount at the moment so we went to book. Go all the way through to checkout and discount went, couldn't get it back any which way and all reference to it had gone from the website . So we booked anyway, and then an hour later it was back, I'm happy the money is going to conservation but the staff were super unhelpful saying that the discount only applies to a limited number of tickets per day and there was nothing they could do. So we went along and visited anyway. No birds, they are all locked away because of avian flu, many enclosures closed, no orangutan's, no bonobo's, no lorikeets, no lemurs, no staff in sight anywhere, no keeper talks, no feedings ......not really what you'd expect from a zoo. Especially one more expensive than London zoo and whipsnade, certainly a better day out there. And one final point the whole place is sooo muddy, huge puddles and mud everywhere, take your wellies you'll need it.

We visited Twycross ZOO with our two boys and we all had a fantastic day out. One if the highlights was hand feeding the lorekeets but the main reason was seeing the snow leopards and gorillas for the first time. We had the best fish & chips next to the Gorilla Enclosure and we loved seeing all the different apes and monkeys in the ZOO including several species we never even heard of before. Great family trip, can’t wait to return!

Love this place; try to visit every year. Great zoo with animals, and a really chilled vibe. Lots of picnic areas, and lots to do.

Twycross Zoo is in Leicestershire not Warwickshire. It does not have Warwickshire in its Royal Mail address.

Fantastic Zoo. My Nephew loved it. There is a bald Chimpanzee.

We had a fab day out here with our baby son. He absolutely LOVES monkeys and would have watched them all day if it was up to him. Great value for money and a really good ethical ethos.
