“As an attraction and location, it’s ideal…right on the river Goyt, with a bit of history about the mill right around the corner and the Roman Lakes not far either, it could easily fill a day! However, the donation boxes every metre is a bit much (just felt uncomfortably frequent) and we didn’t find the owner very friendly at all. Did not see any sign of baby change facilities though we weren’t too bothered. The play areas were varied and spread out so there’s lots of space if busy. The rest of the volunteer staff seem very friendly and the animals there seem happy enough, though some are in quite confined quarters and not sure which animals are petable. The drive down to the car park is fairly treacherous ie tons of very large potholes, but plenty of parking. Closed on Mondays.”
“It is so nice that the entry is free, there is a suggested donation of £3 per person but even then the farm has a very competitive price.
There are quite a few beautiful animlas and there is riverside walk...so there is much more than just a farm.
All the staff is soo lovely....”
“Took the kids for a day out here expecting to only be able to fill an hour or two of the day, 4 hours later and the kids were still having a great time. Donation asked for of £2 per person and no pressure was put on to pay, able to add a donation when buying in the cafe too as we had no cash which was good! Everyone was really friendly, there is a walk, play barn, slope with toy vehicles provided for the kids to play on, really excelled expectations!”
“Visited here recently and it's a great attraction for Marple! Lots of things for kids to do, including a zip wire, picnic tables and lots of different animals. It's right next to the river Goyt as well, so a nice place to sit. It's recommended you give a £2 donation per person which I think is a bargain for a great day out.”
