“Had a lovely couple of hours at this tucked away railway today, my 2.5yr old loved the miniature train ride, there was lots to keep him occupied in the play areas with playhouses, slides, cars etc and we even went on the zip wire together. Yes the toys aren't in new condition but that didn't bother him or us. We stayed for a picnic and there are plenty of tables to sit at in the various play areas. For £2 on the train and the rest for free it was definitely £2 worth spending! Thank you volunteers for using your time to keep this place going! We all had a lovely morning.”
“Me, partner and our daughter came here yesterday. Beautiful surroundings but rather disappointed with the train journey. There were lots of lovely ornaments to look at but the journey was around 2 minutes of actually being on the train.. where we read it would be a 15 minute journey. The train stopped up the other end for a few minutes where you could get off.. but you were not allowed on the grass so the only place you could go was stand in the bus shelter! Bit disappointing. In the under 5s play area it was just filthy dirty push along bikes and bits that has been crammed into a small space. Over all not too impressed. A big build up when reading the description then to be quite let down!”
