“Overall a nice farm. Forest wooden ornaments were beautifully crafted. The forest trail was a lot longer than we anticipated and is very VERY lonely and I would 100% not recommend going unless there a a few adults present. We encountered a very odd man half way through who was suddenly just hovering over my moms shoulder whilst we looked at an ornament and he said he’d left his niece in her pram and was doing the walk for her. Two ladies on their own with two under five years olds and we were understandably even more weary being in the woods after this because even if he was telling the truth he was extremely creepy and we felt very vulnerable.”
“The farm and the forest walk were nice and the wooden statues throughout the forest were lovely and very well done. I really wouldn’t advise going through the forest walk unless there is a few adults with you. It’s a lot longer a walk than anticipated and very VERY lonely. To top it off on our visit a very odd man on his own suddenly appeared behind my mom whilst I was looking at the humty dumpty statue with my 2 very young boys. He said his niece was waiting in her pram and he was doing the pumpkin search for her as her pram couldn’t come along the trek which may have been true but he gave both me and my mom the creeps and spoilt the walk for us as we were understandably on edge after that. The pumpkin patch was also great though as well as the play areas. My little ones really enjoyed the day there, oblivious to the adult concerns mentioned.”
“Visited the farm at the weekend and had a really lovely day. The children loved the woodland work and had great fun trying to find the wood sculptures, and had to be lured away from the scramble nets with a promise of a hot chocolate for the lovely coffee shop. Everywhere is very clean and well kept and the animals were all very friendly. The staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable. We will definitely visit again.”
“We really enjoyed the farm part of our visit but will never come back or recommend to anyone to visit due to the poor management. The farm seems to be run by a large family where kids as old as 10 work in the coffee shop. We bought lunch in the cafe and waited 1h and 10min for 2 jacket potatoes which were heavily microwaved (one of them served very cold...) And had to go to the kitchen to complain few times ... We bought a portion of chips on the side for our daughter and she had to wait for her food as long as we had to wait for ours and the size of the portion was a fraction of what you think side of chips is Her chips tasted like it was a day old and has been reheated in a microwave too. The quality of the food was beyond acceptable not to mention how long we had to wait for it. The coffee shop feels dirty, too. We didn't see a single staff member on the farm area throughout the whole day but the animals seem to be very well looked after. I think if we had picnic our visit would have been much better. The place feels smaller than what you would expect and it would not take much for your children to get bored ...”
