“What a fantastic tour and worth every single penny. I went with my daughter and we both had an amazing time. As stated, they do not have parking spaces, but the car park they suggest is only a few minutes away.
Everything was very well thought out and ran like clockwork. The tour was divided into three sections, covering the three main streets of Corrie. Our tour guide Callum (spelt with a double ‘l’) was so informative and never dull or boring. I thought I knew everything about Corrie, but certainly learnt loads of interesting facts along the way. Callum would remind us of things that had happened in the past, and chat about up to date stories, showing where actual things had happened. He would also supply us with loads of behind the scenes information about the characters, the set and the props. We were then giving the freedom to wander about, look in windows, look in letter boxes, take our own photos of whatever we wanted. We were reminded to check out certain things, which we may have overlooked, before moving on to the next section, where again we would have a talk from Callum, followed by time to wander around and explore and take more photos. We then moved onto the third street where again, we would have a talk, followed by free time to take photos. We were also privy to seeing a new establishment that has not yet been introduced on TV. (This new establishment along with new story lines, will be coming shortly to your screens. Sorry can’t say any more at this stage!!). Meeting the surprise star came at the end and no clues were given away throughout the tour. We were so lucky on our day to meet Kirk. He spent time with every single one of us and was so delightfully down to earth, even though he knew how excited we all were. No one was made to feel like they had to rush.
The shop at the end was really good. Lots of souvenirs at very, very reasonable prices. The souvenir guidebook is a must, full of photos and information.
I am 68 years and have watched Corrie since the day it started. This tour was a dream come true and I would highly recommend it to anyone, young or old.”
