Swithens Farm and Play Barn Reviews

4.3 Rating 3 Reviews
I started taking my grandson to see and feed the animals. Bedore he was in nursery we went at least twice a week. I love the place the animals and the staff. We have always been made welcome at Swithens. So reasonably priced too. Currently grandparents just pay once a month as long as you show your receipt each time you go for the remainder of the month. It has everything you could want. From baby animals to a fantastic play area. We tend to feed the animals then go play. Logan loves the huge sand pit and the massive straw tower. There are cosy coupes and all sorts of other ride on or ride ins that are free to play with. Also a bouncy castle and trampolines. Cafe is great and food prices are reasonable. Service is quick and the food tastes good. There is also a garden centre and farm shop. Toilets are clean and there are stations all over to wash your hands after feeding each animals. Once saw a piglet being bullies and within 5 minutes Sam was there and moved it into an area with younger pigs. Always adding more and more. Pickles the cob is the latest arrival. I cannot actually tell you all the animals there but here are some: Cows and calves Pigs and piglets Sheep and lambs Donkeys and goals Ponies Llamas and alpacas Goats and kids Terrapins Meerkats Rabbits Guinea pigs Chickens and poultry Turkeys Ducks Carrots are available at 40p per bag. Also have additional things on such as pumpkin picking and carving. Other seasonal stuff also available. Xxx

Been twice and both times been disappointed. Not a lot of animals and the ones that are there don't look very looked after. Food in cafe was nice but had to pay again on top of farm to go in indoor play area.

Visited today what an amazing little find. This place was wonderful, meerkat, cows & calves, sheep & lambs, pigs and piglets - even witnessed a batch of 7 piglets being born, llamas, rabbits, chickens, outdoor play area, indoor play area, cafe, what a place to let children explore, catered for babies, toddlers, mums and dads and in our case grandma and grandad too. The staff were amazing, very informative when asking for info on the animals. Will be taking the time to visit again.
