I was so excited after watching the film ‘We Bought A Zoo’, visiting was even better!!! We were a party of 6 with one oap and 2 disabled children (visiting in January) and we all had a fantastic day out! It’s a very up close and personal experience we’re definatly going again!!!

I really enjoyed my visit to Dartmoor Zoo last year with my sister, her boyfriend and my 12-year-old niece. It's a really big zoo, and it's really easy to reach from Plymouth city centre. We were really impressed by the variety of different animal species, although we especially loved the lions and the gorillas. With so much to see and do, you need to allow a full day for exploring the zoo, so arrive as early as possible. There was a lot of walking involved, so I recommend wearing your comfiest pair of trainers!

I went to Dartmoor Zoo recently and found that not only was it great to take the 3 year old there because of how much there was to do, but I also enjoyed it myself. I will definitely bring my child back here in the future as he loved seeing the tigers and wanted to meet them, but was too young for the experience. Two things I will say is that one, prices of food can be slightly steep for what you get, and 2, it's on a hill, if like me you're in a wheelchair, you will need help. However, there is parking at the top of the hill for those with blue badges.
